Introduction

This is quite a simple side hustle that will require a little investment up front in terms of equipment and learning. But once you’ve gotten used to your equipment and find a client it can be quite a lucrative business.

Equipment needed

In order to do this you are going to need 4 things

• A camera ( I recommend the canon 70D )
• A flash ( you will need one with a bend to adjust for low light / not washing out your subject )
• A good camera lens ( with an F-stop of 2.6 — 1.8 or wider )
• Earplugs ( an absolute requirement )

Learning investment

In order to do this you are going to need to learn a few fundamentals of photography. I’ll go through a few of these in order of importance

Exposure

This is going to be your biggest nightmare with nightclub photography. You are going to be in a low light setting with lights all around you and you’re going to have to find an exposure that works for you with the light provided in the venue.
